My Husband Ran Away To A Small Town When Coronavirus Hit
Because his ex-wife told him to. Now he can’t get back
When news of the Coronavirus started to trickle through our news feeds, my husband was instantly worried about his oldest son who was working the ski season in Canada. A severe asthmatic, maybe he should head home to Australia?
At the time I thought it was a bit of an over-reaction and that staying in Canada might be safer than a 20-hour flight in an A380 with 800 other people. Turns out hubby was right and it was best that he came home, what with all the border restrictions now in place.
But following on from that and his ex-wife’s hysteria about the whole situation, our lives have now been turned upside down.
Agggh — the ex. We all have to deal with one at some stage in our lives, but my husband’s ex really pushes the limits of tolerability. An obsessive-compulsive, controlling and manipulative bully, she can really cause a shit-show when she wants to.
And the trouble is that even after 10 years when she says “jump” my hubby says “how high?”. Not her hubby, mine. Unfortunately, though they are still very unhealthily enmeshed about their kids. Well, not actually “kids”, they are all over 18 — but you would never know it the way they are coddled by their Mum.
